Child Development Milestones

Child development milestones are at Molly's Virtual Pub, where raising kids is a village affair, and it makes Kathleen howl. She scribbled down some that she overheard whilst delivering fish and chips. The young parents appear uniformly tired, and have fled to this room of bedlam in order to avoid the pointed stares of other patrons who have either forgotten or repressed those distant and painful memories for the village elders are restless.

Your Dad and your Mommy agree
Being one is the best
But now I need the rest
And that peek-a-boo game's killing me.

Do not feel too sorry for the young Moms and Dads, for this condition shall eventually pass and they shall be the ones staring pointedly at those not yet so blessed.

We were desperately hoping that you
Might consider a night
Without any blight
On a solid night's sleep for your crew?

Three year olds are pretty neat
You can certainly stay on your feet
Sixteen hours a day
People chasing you say
They're more tired than a cop on his beat.

We're so proud of how fleet you've become
But when you see a street

Us in mind and just slow it down some?

A five year old dresses quite well
And perusing your room, I can tell
That you truly adore
Changing clothes, cause the floor
Holds the discards wherever they fell.
