Email Fun for You to Forward
Here you have stumbled upon email fun! This form of communication is inherently so humorous, or, as her cousins prefer, humourous, that these poems about email practically write themselves. Vint Cerf, we bow deeply to you. However, here be two funny limericks for another august personage, Bill, a gentleman who requires no last name, a forlorn message in a bottle bobbing in the vast Internet Sea.
Bring it Back!
On our email's toolbar there's a stack Of customizations we lack But the button we need Can you hear us, Bill? Cede Us the button that says, "Bring it back!"
"*.pst" File And Bill, while you're there, use your clout, Fix that strange address book? And about That vague file, "*.pst" Could it possibly be Less transparent? So please check it out.
Do you, likewise, participate in email fun? Running a virtual pub with limerick poems inventory, as you might imagine, means that Molly spends hours in front of her screen. As with all such toil, email becomes that tenuous thread of connection to the outside world, dashing one off as a thought occurs, or listening for that pleasant “ping” of a new one coming in. Could it be, perhaps, that the children have remembered to pause a moment and drop her a line?
My yes, Email fun is here, and even more pleasant, perhaps a patron has placed an order for Literati Limericks in her mailbox?
Or, why not pause a moment to order one hundred or so copies of a Keepsake Book of Love and Marriage as a
wedding favor for your esteemed guests?
At any rate, Molly and her spouse communicate by fun email throughout the course of a day, his office being on the far side of the premises downstairs, and hers, in a hidey-hole above and on the opposite side of the establishment. Indeed, running up and down the steps is Molly’s primary source of fitness. Blogging has become rampant here at the pub, and this room is
cluttered with geeks, the soft glow of laptops reflecting upon their faces, rendering them even more pale than they normally are.
Fun email tag games are most effective for spouses, for no longer is there any doubt that one did, in fact, remind about a social engagement, a family celebration, or a dental appointment, for there it resides, on two computers, or maybe a dozen computers if forwarded through a distribution list, or mayhaps a million given that electronic communication is, by its nature, geometrically propagated.
Email Fun for Everyone Email's great, for it quite instantly Sends your typing out for all to see But then you recall You chose "reply to all." Forgetting that thing, "Bcc…"
Molotov Cocktail Paper trails set up nice in an email But they have one insoluble detail Electrons, immortal When sent through your portal Could blow up like a Molotov cocktail
Emoticons, anyone? Emoticons help quite a bit But plain text is preferred, isn't it? Email, bald-faced and plain Can be taken for flame And make you, sorry sender, a twit.
