One of the best gifts for Dad is Father's Day poetry - because you went to the trouble of finding them. At Here Be Limerick Poems, these original Fathers Day Poems are free for private use. Links to more pages at the bottom.
Don't be caught for something to say to Dad while you are grilling the steaks or metts. Check out the page for new Dads or one for
It's your day, so I wanted to know
Is there someplace that you'd like to go
For a Father's Day gift?
But by all means, think "thrift"
As you know, I'm not rolling in dough.
Of all of the dumb things I've done
Having you as a Dad isn't one,
For the lot that I drew
Brought me right here to you
In that lottery, Papa, I won.
So, dear parent, I bought you this card
And that's lame, but you know, life is hard
Maybe next year, I'll splurge
If my finances surge
So why don't I clean up the yard?
Dad, you're a really great guy
And this present's for you - Wonder why
I chose this shirt for you?
Well, of course, cause it's blue
Just be grateful it wasn't a tie.
*Note that the fourth line could be changed to: "One at last, that's not blue"
Here at college, it's too far to go
To your Father's Day bash, even so,
I'd be far too remiss
If I don't tell you this
You're the best Dad around that I know.
I'm fixing your favorite dish
And inviting you here with the wish
That your Father's Day will
Come without a huge bill
And besides that, I also like fish.
Next year, check out our Mother's Day offerings, too. Every year, new limerick poems are added to keep things fresh.
