Celebrate
American Independence Day
with an Independence Day Poem

Independence Day Parade

Celebrate American Independence Day with an Independence Day Poem. They can be used as Fourth of July Party Invitations as well (the third one, is specifically an invitation).

Independence Day Poem

We're heading up to July fourth
Where east, south, the west and the north
Thumb their noses at those
Who see thorns on the rose
And we'll take all the day off, henceforth.
Here at Molly's Virtual Pub, Kathleen is busy tacking up bunting on the walls. Today, for a change, the colo is not green, but red, white, and blue. July 4th makes us all feel like kids, but our fireworks expert is the grown-up in charge outside setting up roman candles and the like. Of course, we have sparklers for the kiddies and we are still seeking out those little black pellets that grow like snakes (have they been banned?).

The menu is hot dogs, hamburgers, German potato salad, and of course, Mom's apple pie. The beer is Sam Adams and Bud Light and the guys are setting up cornhole in the yard (it's a Midwest thing). This year, perhaps, we will not forget to bring in the cornhole bean bags - last year, there was overnight rain and the corn inside sprouted).

Celebrate American Independence Day

Today we are in celebration
Of a youngish, but wonderful nation
Where we're each of us free
To pursue that which s/he
Thinks will best serve self-actualization.

Fourth of July Party Invitations

The theme here is Fourth of July
We were hoping that you would swing by
For some cornhole and fun
And hot dogs on a bun
And a little, "Here's mud in your eye."

Fourth of July Poem

Getting ready to light fireworks
Because this is just one of the perks
Of a great holiday
If you step right this way
We have floats with our own soda jerks.
If you like the Independence Day Poem
