Nursing Humor and Poems About Nurses

Here come those jolly nurses again! Batten down the hatches for nursing humor. The staff serves with alacrity here. In fact, they won't leave unless prodded. This has to be the cheeriest place in Molly's Virtual Pub.

How Are "We" Doing?

So how are we doing today?
"What's this ‘we’ thing about, anyway?
Have you been ill, too?"
"Point taken, it's true,
But what the heck else should we say”?

Candy for the Nurse

Every family thinks candy's the thing
That an ill person wants, so they bring
Tons to the floor
Chocolates galore!
And the staffers will eat anything.

Nurse's Anniversary

Marking your anniversary
Of serving the ill, all agree
You're the best that there is
In this often sad biz
While maintaining a fine joie de vivre.
Okay, they are not always so jolly. A careful observer might think they are regrouping after a rough day, but we digress. Shall we just appreciate them?

Higher Calling

Nursing is not just a check
Every day she must be more a "tech"
Yet not lose that "touch"
That's needed so much
And get home without being a wreck.

The Caring Profession

Nursing, the caring profession
As sacred as vow or confession
And the needs she (he) must meet
With skates on her (his) feet)
With humor and firm self-possession.
Nursing humor reminds us of some physicians we know.
